Matt leads Cloud Apps Capital Partners on our journey to be the best venture capital firm in the world in the cloud business application market at the Classic Series A stage. He works closely with entrepreneurs and executive teams to help them build global category leading companies. Matt has 12 years of operating experience in successful business application companies including salesforce.com, 12 years of venture capital and private equity experience, and a highly relevant network. He has walked in the shoes of founding teams at each stage of a business application company's development -- no customers, initial traction, scaling the team, market leadership, and global expansion.
Matt has a BA in engineering and economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
At Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Nichole focuses on the firm’s Cloud Platforms & ISV Ecosystems investment strategy and leads the firm’s Network Development strategy. As a technology enthusiast, Nichole is informed on cloud platforms and the development of ISV ecosystems. Nichole sources investments, identifies new markets, and her work provides competitive advantages for our portfolio companies to scale. Prior to joining Cloud Apps Capital Partners in 2015, Nichole spent her career learning the foundations of the cloud business application success model working across sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams in her role at Salesforce.com. In addition to her cloud business experience, Nichole brings over 10 years of marketing experience in B2B and B2C businesses ranging from startups to enterprise where she has led marketing programs, built early stage marketing teams, and advised on GTM strategy for C-level buyers.
Nichole has a BA in Behavioral Psychology from California State University, Sacramento and has attended Pepperdine University, George Graziadio School of Business & Management but ultimately determined that learning from today’s great business leaders was more relevant for a career in technology.
Outside of her career, Nichole is an avid reader, a certified skipper, and is committed to community as an active philanthropist and advocate for equality. She is currently an Advisor at CareerForce and has helped raise over $700,000 for cancer research as a leader with HackCancer.
As Venture Partner at Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Andy is leading investment strategies, sourcing new investments, and serving on the board of directors of portfolio companies. He is an expert in business software, business networks, enterprise-class product strategy and go-to-market. An area of particular interest is supply chain technology, where he has very deep first-hand experience and is building a portfolio of investments in AI, IoT, and Blockchain. Andy is a creative mentor to many entrepreneurs and uses his large network of software and customer executives to validate opportunities and help chart the exciting course from difficult problems to category-leading companies.
Prior to joining Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Andy was a successful cloud software executive and passionate product innovator, with over twenty years of deep operational experience in product strategy, go-to-market, and R&D. As leading product executive at GT Nexus, he grew the company from initial product to a globally recognized cloud supply chain category leader with nearly a thousand employees, managing both product and GTM through all stages of growth. Andy is a citizen of the world, has built businesses domestically and in Europe, and successfully recruited and led large global teams.
Andy has dual master’s degrees in Mechanical (Universität Stuttgart) and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (University of Wisconsin), is passionate about sailing, field hockey, and biking and lives with his family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
At Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Andrew leads the vertical markets strategy, sources new investments, works on new investment diligence, provides support for portfolio companies, and leads the firm's cloud financial modeling and reserves processes. Prior to joining Cloud Apps Capital Partners, Andrew was in the technology investment-banking division of Morgan Stanley in Menlo Park. He advised clients in the software, internet, and semiconductor sectors on mergers, acquisitions, financings, and strategic alternatives. Andrew also spent time in Morgan Stanley’s Equity Capital Markets division in New York, where he worked closely with technology companies helping them to raise over $10B+ in equity and equity-linked capital.
Andrew has a BA in economics from Princeton University.
Andrew is a big fan of sports and the outdoors, and likes to stay very active through skiing, cycling, and golfing, among other activities.
Rachel joins Cloud Apps Capital Partners in the role of Executive Assistant and Operations Manager. Rachel is the first person that entrepreneurs meet when they come to our office. Rachel will be providing executive support to Matt Holleran and will be leading the firm’s operations including office and benefits management.
Prior to joining Cloud Apps Capital, Rachel started her career in customer service. After six years and a move to the Bay Area, she knew it was time for a change. Rachel was first introduced to the Venture Capital world when she joined the Lightspeed Partners administrative team where she helped with the firm's daily operations and assisted with firm events.
In her free time Rachel enjoys staying active and exploring the Bay Area.
